Samantha ''Sam'' the Oshawott

Samantha, often reffered to as just "Sam", is Kevin's starter of choice as he set out on a new adventure in the Unova region. Though, the way he met Samantha wasn't a mere visit to a Pokemon Labratory...

Samantha was seperated from her trainer, following Team Plasma's speeches, and left to fend for herself. She met Kevin 2 years later, and thanks to her newly-developed hate towards humans, due to being abandoned, she ended up causing both her, Kevin and his team a lot of trouble by accidently angering a huge swarm of Bug-type Pokemon as she attacked Kevin's team and her attack hit their nests instead.

After fending off various Heracross, Beedrill, and Scyther (Why do all these Bug-Types have to be so aggressive AND hang around in the same place?), Samantha finally runs out of energy and stumbles down to the ground, struggling to keep herself up. In the meantime, Kevin and his team was perfectly fine, due to working together. Six is way better than one when fighting a huge group of angered bugs... Kevin decides to spray the nearby trees around the area with Max Repels, to keep wild Pokemon away as they set up a camp there. Samantha, being too weak to go anywhere, stayed with them to so she could get her strength back.

During the next passing hours, she would watch Kevin and his team engage in various activities, discuss fighting tactics, and simply have fun together. It reminds her about the little time she was with her trainer 2 years ago... Then, learning that Kevin had his aims set on tracking down the last members of Team Plasma, she decided to stick along...though, in the beginning, she was just sneaking after Kevin. In the end, she allowed him to capture her so they would co-operate better. Starting a new and strange relationship between a Pokemon and Trainer.

Samantha is reffered to by Kevin and Philip as the team's "Tsundere", but each time they tell her anything that might relate to that, they usually end up getting an attack to the face, as she refuses it and hates the mere thought of being one.

Due to her nature of being a loner and a survivor, she tends to stick to her own tactics and strategies in battle, often causing an arguement between her and Kevin, and this tend to throw the matches for them, as they lose focus.

Her intense training in the wild has enabled her to learn various moves she would usually only be able to learn by getting help from a tutor, TMs, by breeding, or other sources and/or ways of mastering those moves.

-Night Slash
-Icy Wind
-Water Pledge
-Aqua Jet
